The Times They Are a-Changin’
I am writing this blog entry at my desk in what is now a half empty flat. The reason why I am sitting in a half empty flat isn’t to do with me being the victim of any plundering or criminal activity, but rather me engaged in the process of moving out. I’ve been living in central Liverpool for nearly two years now within a good distance of rolling down Duke Street to the Bluecoat, or to what I deem to be Liverpool’s version of Diagonal in Barcelona, an angled sweep to my studio at The Royal Standard. The reason why I am doing this is fueled by a greater reason and driving force.
I have been offered a place on the Arts Management, Policy & Practice MA at Manchester University. I have accepted this offer and suddenly I will be back in academia after a four year absence in September. This change in my circumstances have been forcing me to re-evaluate my position in regards to making work. I’ll be posting more on this at a later date, but explains my recent silence in regards to posting.
