The Grey Rainbow

This week sees the next Arena exhibition Proof and the latest and most ambitious TAXED event yet, Skillmarket which will be held at the A-Foundation on Saturday 24 April.

Proof feels like a turning point personally as when it finishes it signals the end of my role delivering the gallery at Arena. The aim is to make sure my tenure ends on a high and that we have a structure in place for making sure then gallery builds on the work that has occurred this year as I feel that it could offer even more.

On other musings, making a new piece at present. It’s what I have deemed a ‘forced collaboration’ i.e I acquired an original artwork and am modifying it for my own ends whether or not the artist, in this case Liverpool based Tony Smith and one of his abstract paintings The Grey Rainbow - likes it. I am keen to explore the idea of this forced discourse between his painting and my reactionary modification of his piece.

Need more colour on my site as well.
